I didn't begin running because it was a social activity. However, as the years have gone by, I've made wonderful friends through running, and the various groups that I've run with regularly have been a source of unexpected encouragement, inspiration and friendship. I realize too, that as I interact with the greater running community at events and on the trails, we share a common bond that others do not understand. All that to say, as we build the Bay Area Response to Human Trafficking, we are creating a community with a common bond and a common vision, to Delete_Slavery in our lifetime. This can only come to fruition as the Bay Area abolitionist community deepens through collaboration, and widens through spreading awareness. Through this community, we not only share practical strategies and tools to fight trafficking, we also share encouragement, inspiration and friendship. So I am excited for the opportunity to partner with Run for Courage at their upcoming race on November 2nd. Team BAATC would love to have you join us to raise awareness and support the anti-trafficking movement in the Bay Area. Just register for the race here, and join Team BAATC. I can hardly think of a better way to invite your friends to join the abolitionist community and have a good time doing it.
